On the 10th of March I had an opportunity to once again raise the issues facing the people of Hong Kong, who are facing the prospect of unilateral changes to their electoral system by the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China. In this question, I asked the Minister of State for Asia if the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office has made an assessment of whether these changes do not contradict the Sino-British Joint Declaration.
