On the 13th of April I had an opportunity to press the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for International Trade on what steps the Department is taking to ensure a level trading field for UK steel producers in the context of EU and US import controls on steel goods, and the risk of the UK becoming one of very few steel markets with no protective measures for its steel industry. Unfortunately, the Minister chose to largely dodge the question in this instance.
You can watch my question and the Minister’s answer on Parliament TV, or read a transcript of it on Hansard.
