The Bank of England has launched its new citizens’ panels initiative.
As the Bank highlights, the Bank of England’s work has far-reaching implications for all residents of the nations and regions of the UK and they want to hear what ordinary residents have to say about jobs, pay and the cost of living.
Taking part means you can put your views directly to people who make decisions that affect you. During the current coronavirus outbreak our citizens’ panel members are helping the Bank of England to understand how people are being affected economically and financially by the crisis.
Meetings will be held around the UK, will typically be held in the evening and last three hours. There will be free food and refreshments and expenses up to £25 will be covered.
At your local citizens’ panel you can:
- learn more about what the Bank of England does
- listen to BoE speakers talk about topical issues
- share your opinion with the BoE
- meet other people in your area
- enjoy free food and refreshments
Anyone over the age of 16 can apply; see here.
