South Lanarkshire Council refuse planning permission for 5G mast in Drumsagard Village

Categories: News

The planned 5G mast in Drumsagard Village has been a big source of contention for the local community in recent months, and in August I added my voice to calls for planning permission to be refused.

There were many reasons to oppose this project, not least the lack of engagement with locals from the company prior to submitting for planning permission. At the time I sent my formal objection to the Council, I also wrote to Three offering a meeting to discuss alternative locations for the mast.

Now that a decision has been reached, I have followed up with them again to schedule a discussion, and I am hopeful something can be scheduled in the coming weeks.
