Access to cash has been an issue constituents’ contact me regularly about, and remains a key concern in the community. I attended this interesting debate in Westminster Hall, where many important points were made from Members across the House.
I was grateful for the opportunity to intervene on the Economic Secretary to the Treasury, who recently visited the Post Office BankHub in Cambuslang. The BankHub has been instrumental in ensuring residents locally can still access banking services, and so I asked the Minister if he agreed that the scheme should be rolled out more widely across the UK. You can read a transcript of my question in Hansard, or watch it on ParliamentTV.
