Last Monday was a busy day in the House, and the Ministry of Defence oral question session fell just after Remembrance Sunday, in a timely coincidence.
At Defence questions, I took the opportunity to highlight the work at the Lady Haig Poppy Factory in Edinburgh. The factory has been in operation since the 1920s, and since its inception has employed veterans from the armed forces.

The Prime Minister then gave a Statement to the House updating us on progress made at COP26, following its close a few days before. I took the opportunity to thank the teams that worked to provide MPs support throughout the conference, a huge job that was very well done. I then asked the Prime Minister how the Government will be supporting the aviation industry in meeting jet zero without the changes becoming to great a financial burden.
