Monday started with questions to the Department of Work and Pensions, where I was given the chance to come in on the provision of high-quality jobs for young people.

I highlighted the provision of free university level education in Scotland, and asked the Secretary of State whether she had considered how better access to higher level education could impact the employability of young people.

Later we had a Westminster Hall Debate on Online Animal Sales, prompted by an e-petition for Reggie’s Law which would require online platforms to verify the identity of animal sellers.

In my speech I spoke to a number of issues, calling for the need for better regulation of online marketplaces, and highlighting that Scotland is the only nation in the UK to regulate cat and rabbit sales.
